Description
A “faux” rotary beacon with no moving parts. Used by numerous railroads from the 1980’s-1990’s. This newer version uses a spun aluminum base. Amber, red or blue domes were used – amber being the most common on the railroads. Cored for an Aaron Heine or Rapido Stratolite effect unit. Includes 4 grey resin bases, and 4 clear resin domes.
Note – This is the Stratolite used by Southern Pacific.
Common Railroads: Burlington Northern, Milwaukee Road, Santa Fe, Southern Pacific, Metra
Instructions for lighting are provided on the packaging. We will have a blog post on how to use our strobes and beacons in the near future.
