Description
This speed recorder drive features the Chicago Pneumatic Model C (aka, the one EMD used forever on everything) Speed Recorder drive. These used a flexible spring cable that ran into the speedometer in the cab, which also plotted the speed on a paper tape. This set is on the Alco/GE 6-bolt cone style journal cap. In this package we include two with the drive on top, two with it on the bottom as well as one with the drive mounted at an angle, which was common on a number of later Alco Century’s (especially C636’s). Cable material is also included.
